Jolly Pumpkin, Oro de Calabaza – a great sour from Dexter, Michiganniman ranch bacon ‘en croute’
The Bruery, Black Orchard Wit – one of my favorites from new brewery, The Brueryfuyu persimmon, fig and fennel salad
with shaved beets and
hachiya persimmon vinaigrette
Browerij Bosteels, Tripel Karmeliet – recently named Best Beer in the Worldpumpkin mezzaluna
with brown butter and sage
Green Flash, Nut Brown Ale – WTF?? They stopped making this beer, and I was pissed! Looks like Christina’s been squirreling some away (my hat is off).braised duck leg confit
with celery root puree, roasted apples,
and black trompet mushrooms
Abbaye Binchoise, Reserve – haven’t tried this onedouble chocolate layer cake
Allagash, Curieux – NOM NOM NOM.
This sounds like an amazing meal, and a great opportunity for some serious beer tasting. If you’ve got the bucks to spend, I say do it.
