Picked up a single bottle of this stuff just for the sake of experimentation. It stayed in my fridge for a while until I filled up a cooler to take up to Malibu for the afternoon.
Tasted terrible, like artificial whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Bleh. Luckily I had also brought along some Avery Salvation, which lived up to it’s name.
Might be worth giving a try, some people love this sort of thing, but I say avoid. If you are in the market for what some would call “chick beer,” a much better choice would be Pete’s Wicked Strawberry Blonde.

I hate the Cherry Wheat too. I think it tastes like cough syrup.

I love Cherry Wheat, along with Sam Smith’s Oatmeal Stout…not a swill fan of the Bud, Bud light, Bud light ice, Bud dry ice genre

Well, just like a good IPA, cherry wheat is definitely not for everyone. Don’t blame the beer…you just need to work up to it with some type of transitional beer such as the Strawberry Blonde. In time, your tastes buds will adapt to the more complex flavors of this beer. I for one find it very delicious. However, when I am looking for more of a hop kick I use it as part of a “cherry bastard” i.e 1/2 cherry wheat & 1/2 arrogant bastard ale. You would not believe how great this combination is!
