I hail from the SF and/or central coast area and have been dumbfounded by the lack of microbrews available here in LA (in bottles and on tap). This blog, especially this post has been a lifesaver. Within a week I've visited two of the 5 from the trip and plan on going to the rest soon. I actually read your entry about riding the train up the coast and laughed about the stop through San Luis Obispo. I'm pretty sure I've spent more than a few days/nights on that porch you spoke of where you got directions to Gus's. For next time, if you walk about two blocks more you come to an unassuming mini-mart that has an even bigger selection of bombers and microbrews. Either way, thanks.
